Actually, what I’m seeing so far is new readers *can’t* discover you, and the only people reading so far have been brought there by the authors. Which implies authors are cannibalizing their existing readership. I’d love to be wrong, but making “a few dollars” in exchange for teaching a reader to switch from one format to another is not a good deal. See if you can see what I’m seeing — Go into Amazon US in incognito mode so it doesn’t know you’re an author. Go to Kindle department. Put Vella in as a search term. Just now, I did so, and for me, the first 3 results aren’t Vella titles. The first serial that does come up is someone gaming the system by having Vella in the subtitle which I suspect will cause them trouble down the line.
