What do you do when there’s nowhere to go? When the grocery store says they can’t deliver any ice until Tuesday, and the storm’s on Sunday? When the storm whipped up too fast, and anyway you’re surrounded by rural anti-vaxxers on all sides?

Ice from the wine shop, soft drinks too. Hurricane shutters up. Today, I’ll cook all the chicken because nothing’s worse than the smell of raw chicken when the power goes off.

I’ll update from my spot on the Northshore of New Orleans as I can. Pray I’ll have nothing to report but a fizzle!
